Finally cleared for running...kinda

As of Friday, my physical therapist cleared me for 'light' running, or no longer than one mile a day three days a week at no faster than five miles per hour!  It has been entirely too long since I've been 'allowed' to run.  Usually, I push through the pain, but with this being a chronic knee injury, I thought I would be a good patient and follow my therapist's counsel so I won't have to deal with this again and at a higher pain intensity down the road.  Physical therapy has been working beautifully and as I ran on my treadmill, the euphoria of a good run was mine to achieve once again.  It felt great to run again, even if it was just a mile.  I felt like me again.  I did forget how long one mile is on a treadmill though.  Next time, I'm running outside as usual.


  1. Love it! I watch TV (House Hunters) while on the treadmill. Makes the time go by so much faster. Glad you are doing better, Rachel!

    1. I should probably put a TV in the room with the treadmill. Or at least install a tablet holder. Lately, I've just been listening to music.
